's noisy compared to the quiet Canon lenses. Quality at F/5.6 and smaller ranges from sharp in the middle to just OK at the edges. At F/3.5 it's OK but definitely not as sharp as stopped down a bit. I'd recommend this as OK for full frame and really good for reduced sensors because the Rebel sensors crop out the edges, which are a little soft. Lens is clean with no scratches, haze or dings. Comes with front & rear lens caps, box but no lens hood or case. I've kept a skylight filter on it since I bought it and I'll include it as well. You can see other pictures of this lens and sample shots I took at 20mm, 27mm and 35mm last weekend. I've also included a sky picture with white cloud...a test to see if flare or lens flaws show up....I shot this with my full frame 5D II....you can see by the unretouched photo that the sky is clean. You are welcome to bring your camera and take sample shots....Because the scratch is near the edge of the lens, the reduced APC-S sensor may not even include this area. The lens has Image Stabilization and I am including: Lens Original Canon lens hood Canon original front & rear caps Tripod mount Box This is NOT the new II version. These lenses typically sell for around $1,250-$1,500 on Ebay & Craigslist so I am discounting this because of the cosmetic scratch which does not degrade the image.
